Yawn. This just did not work for me, it was predictable and I very quickly got sick of the main characters entitled personality. There was just nothing enjoyable about reading this one.
GREAT story, definite 5 stars!
Caroline has it all. A glamorous life with a beautiful beach house, a nice car, everything. Then one day she spots a stranger standing outside her house. She has seen him before, always watching her house. She thinks nothing of it. Then her husband brings his mistress to their housewarming party, having a very public fight. Caroline seeks out Aiden, the stranger on the beach, for an affair and revenge. Caroline's husband soon goes missing, with all fingers pointing to Aiden.
Caroline is your typical housewife, with everything you could possibly want. The story was told from Caroline's POV and then from how Aiden saw things in the first half. The second half was completely different! This was a totally unique writing style because I was not sure who did what or who was the crazy one! It was very interesting and I could not stop reading. My mind was going back and forth, trying to see who was telling the truth and who was the one responsible for Jason Stark going missing.
I think that anybody who is interested in psychological thrillers needs to read this book. My mind was twisted from the very beginning. It was so well-written and so interesting. I think this is a great summer read and I 100% recommend it to everyone.
