A Shifting of Dust

Bracken is a witch who's spent the last ten miserable years of his life on the run, a fugitive after the Royal Decree outlawed magic and declared all witches traitors to the crown. It's not an ideal situation. Then he's captured by cullers and tethered to a surly young man named Vahr, which binds his magic and makes things about a thousand times worse. But what Bracken thinks might be his end proves to be a beginning instead - the terrible beginning of a journey filled with outrageous danger, strange places, and ill-fated schemes.
