A Scot's Surrender

New to me author, 3.75 stars. Felt a little like a [a:Cat Sebastian 15171247 Cat Sebastian https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1487439203p2/15171247.jpg] book in that the characters were a little too modern in their thoughts and speech, and although one of them was allegedly grumpy, he was obviously a cinnamon roll just waiting to be de-grumped. In other words, the real angst was minimal, which was fine with me. The plotting was a bit uneven but the chemistry between Ian and Robert was strong, and their HEA felt well-earned. I immediately read the follow up Halloween novella, [b:Highland Haunting: A Halloween Story 42123002 Highland Haunting (The Townsends, #3.5) Lily Maxton https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1538549890l/42123002.SY75.jpg 65719808], which demonstrates how much I enjoyed the two MCs together. More M/M from this author would be welcomed.
