A Girl Like That

I gave this a fair shot but it had a tone from the start which just didn't sit right with me.

I understand the intention of the book and that it's not meant to be easy or comfortable but there were some parts where I just thought no thanks.

Read some other critical reviews and I'm okay to leave this one alone.

Very sweet coming of age teen book set in Saudi.

Counting this was my Saudi Arabia Book Around the World.

This was powerful, sad, and a really well written story from a really great perspective.

I personally really enjoyed A Girl Like That and would definitely recommend it to other readers, while keeping the trigger warnings in mind: sexual assault and abuse. My favorite part of this book was absolutely learning more about a different culture
