The chemistry between our human protagonist and Elias, the fae prince with secrets of his own, is absolutely electric. Their emotional journey from fated connection to devastating betrayal had me completely invested. The "rejected mates" and "he falls first" tropes are executed brilliantly here!
What truly sets this book apart is the masterful world-building. The post-apocalyptic setting blended with fae mythology creates a unique and atmospheric backdrop that feels both familiar and entirely fresh. And can we talk about those dragons? 🐉✨
Maria's writing style is immersive and engaging, perfectly balancing action, romance, and political machinations. The found family elements and morally gray characters add wonderful depth to this already rich story.
