I couldn't go through all the ‘Britishness' of the book. I think it is one of these books which is better to understand as a movie...
A counter-terrorist operation gone wrong, and operatives feeling guilty. Too bad the operation is so secret that even mentioning the name is a source of embarrassment and dangerous in itself. When a disgraced soldier comes up, things start to unravel, and then it gets interesting. This book has delightful dialogue, where everything is mentioned, except the matter at hand.
