The terribly dry listings of marine life were what dragged this from a four-star book to a three. Captain Nemo is a great character, and the adventures of the Nautilus were a lot of fun. I've tried to read other Verne before, and the translations are rough going. This newer translation was fine. The translators took great pride in pointing out the mistakes of those who came before them.
