Richard Ford Burley

Richard Ford Burley (they/he) is a writer of speculative fiction and poetry as well as Managing Editor of the journal Ledger. They’ve written two published novels, an assortment of stories, poems, and local journalism, some academic essays on narrative creation in pop culture settings, and a doctoral thesis in English at Boston College. Their second novel, Displacement, was published in hardcover in February 2020 by Prospective Press and was released in paperback in 2021. Raised in Markham, Ontario—and with stints in York, England and Boston, Massachusetts—they now reside in Lebanon, New Hampshire where they write, edit, parent a toddler, and serve as a warm but uncomfortable piece of furniture for their cat.
