Polina Volkova grew up in the depths of beautiful Siberian forests, where the creepy crawlers of folklore and fairytales often felt just beyond the treeline.

This has profoundly influenced her writing with its vivid imagery that brings about a feeling of being a part of something magical, running into something terrifying, and being very lost in the woods without a cell phone. Her debut series, Into the Deep Wood, blends her lifelong ties with love, horror, and fantasy into a dark romantic fable.

In it, she explores the hardship of the human experience through the use of symbolism and fantasy creatures, a bit of undying love, and chilling moments of somethinggoing bump in the night.

When not weaving her stories, Polina likes romance options in video games, insurmountable amounts of black coffee, long walks on the beach, and side quests that get you some sweet new armor.
