Mariana Victoria of Bourbon (31 March 1718 – 15 January 1781) was an Infanta of Spain by birth and was later Queen of Portugal as wife of King Joseph I. She was a daughter of Philip V of Spain and Elisabeth Farnese.
At the age of seven she was engaged to marry Louis XV of France, who was fourteen. The marriage never took place because she was rejected due to her young age and she was sent back to Spain.
In 1729 she was married to prince Joseph, son of King John V of Portugal. In 1750 her husband became King. His reign was dominated by the influence of the Marquis of Pombal, who was "de facto" ruler so King Joseph and Queen Mariana Victoria took a less prominent role in politics.
During her marriage, Mariana Victoria gave birth to eight children, four of which survived infancy. The eldest daughter became the first Queen regnant as Maria I.
Mariana Victoria acted as Regent of Portugal during the last months of her husband's life and as advisor during her daughter's reign.
