Jon Foster is an American illustrator and comic book artist known for his dark, painterly style that blends realism with fantastical and often unsettling imagery. He has created cover art and illustrations for a wide range of publishers, including DC Comics, Dark Horse, and Tor Books, as well as for role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons. Foster’s work often explores themes of the uncanny and the mythic, and he has been featured in numerous anthologies and art collections. He is also a contributor to collaborative graphic novels and illustrated anthologies, including *Liquid City* and *The City Quiet as Death*. Foster studied illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and has also taught there. His art has been exhibited internationally and is widely recognized for its cinematic, atmospheric qualities.
