Author Bio

In one form or another, Heidi Betts has been a storyteller for most of her life—whether entertaining her friends, working to improve her grades or attempting to get out of trouble. So it's no surprise, really, that she grew up to be a writer. She began her love affair with the romance genre in junior high, where she used to sneak romance novels into study hall when she should have been doing her homework, and it didn't take long for her to decide that she wanted to write a few romances of her own. Soon after joining Romance Writers of America, her writing began to garner attention in several contests, including the esteemed Golden Heart competition, which she placed in the finals three years in a row. Since selling her first book in 1999, she has been the recipient of numerous awards and stellar reviews. She is the founder of her local RWA Chapter, Clearfield Area Romance Authors #167.

Heidi lives in Central Pennsylvania with her family and pets. She has a soft spot in her heart when it comes to animals and has been known to take injured and homeless critters of just about any species into her home. The domesticated ones, she usually ends up keeping; the undomesticated ones, she nurses back to health before returning to the wild. When she isn't writing, Heidi can often be found reading or watching television with a cat (or two) curled up on her lap. She also loves to hear from readers, you can contact her at [email protected] or visit www.heidibetts.com for news and information about upcoming books.
