Enver Hoxha

Enver Halil Hoxha was an Albanian communist revolutionary. He joined the Party of Labour of Albania at its creation in 1941 and was elected First Secretary in March 1943.
During World War II, Hoxha was a leading figure of the Albanian National Liberation Front against fascist Italy.
Until his death, he was a member of the Party of Labour of Albania's Politburo, chairman of the Democratic Front of Albania, and commander-in-chief of the Albanian People's Army.
