Christine Heppermann writes fiction, poetry, and narrative nonfiction for children and young adults. Her books include the highly acclaimed book of poetry Poisoned Apples: Poems For You, My Pretty (Harper Collins/Greenwillow); two novels-in-verse, Ask Me How I Got Here and What Goes Up (both Harper Collins/Greenwillow); the nonfiction City Chickens (Houghton Mifflin); and the Backyard Witch series (with Ron Koertge, Harper Collins/Greenwillow).
