Decent book.
Useful when you're looking for a specific python trick.
Not going to improve your Python skill level substantially.
Read it years ago and it is utter trash. Lowest common denominator - A book for people who don't read books.
Very good book - extremely entertaining.
Small spoilers:
Surprisingly, the whole Count Of Monte Cristo-esque makeover into a rich person only happens in the last 20-30 pages, so some might think the whole “lowly servant” segment drags too long.
One of the best books I've read in years.
Great book, great plot, truly horrific scenes.
The only notable downsides to me were some uninteresting padding relating to Derry scenery and history and a certain infamous sex-related chapter.
Weird book, very hard to understand...only understood the plot by reading summaries after each chapter.
Plot is good, but the writing style is very difficult.
Hopefully a movie would some day translate it well.
Great book, but the plot is nonsensical in the last third and the unabridged version is way too long.
I enjoyed the book.
It's very fresh and aged well.
Only downside is the lack of a solid plot - it's mostly Rico's biography and some military skirmishes.
Awful book.
Pros:
Semi interesting ending.
A lot of action.
Same flavor as the first one if you liked it.
Cons:
Plot is very similar to the first one.
Boring, over the top pop culture references.
Exaggerated characters (everyone is super sarcastic, super rich, super smart, super strategic and have conquered all of humanity's problems as teenagers within a span of 3 years, all thanks to a VR game)
Decent book, entertaining but very cliché.
This book mostly goes just like every multiple worlds/ doppelganger story ever made, but the last 100 pages offer some nice twists.
Despite the above, the writing is very easy to follow and interesting.
Looking forward to reading something a bit more original from this writer.
This was very mediocre compared to The Rap Yearbook and The Rap Coloring Book.
The content was too flimsy and any time the author establishes “rules” for his lists/ debate, he immediately writes “I know I just established a rule but I have to make an exception”. This happens at least twice a page and the joke gets stale.
The drawings were nice.
Awful book. One of the worst I've ever read. Painful to read at times.
Pros:
Unique concept (Got a star for that).
Action
Cons:
Terrible dialogue and characters that border on SJW parody.
Bronx character is nonstop cringe.
I found this book to be very stupid and annoying.
So many detailed description of every possible thing in every scene and yet still most of it is nonsensical.
The only good thing about this book is it predicting the concept of MMORPG.
This is a very good book and I'm writing this as someone who hated the movie.
The film is very boring in general and now even seems shallow compared to the book.
Point off only for the cringe worthy nonstop dialog about animals.
Good book ruined by the depressive and repetitive (same as Black Dahlia) “edgy” twist.
