《Whether you're rich or poor, living on a farm or in the city, you are going to be ankle deep in filth wherever you go.Filthiest. Century. Ever.》
AHAHAHAHAHAHAH GUYS, this book is so precious!!!
It's impressively well researched and funny at the same time = this is totally my style, I love it → this one goes straight into my faves list bye
I will never get over the fact that a 10 years-old girl is engaged with a 25+ years-old man.. Who happens to be her teacher, too lmao
THIS ISN'T LEGAL, SO WHY IS THIS HAPPENING IN A MANGA THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FOR LITTLE GIRLS??? LIKE, HOW?
It didn't even bother me 20 years ago and I literally forgot about it in the meantime, but now I'm like

We have a title and I like it, yay! ♥
BUT it should have been released on September 2017 and today on instagram I found out they postponed it to March 2018?! FML, seriously. I've never waited so impatiently for a sequel after the Harry Potter series lmao
Right now I feel like it will be worth waiting for it only if the cover will be purple, don't mess up making it green, please.
29/o6/2o17
I pre ordered it and I'm so excited omg!!!! ♥
This is the very first pre order I've ever made, so you better be good, chum.

OMG. It's been A NIGHTMARE. After a month since the release of Obsidio Amazon didn't send my copy because my order was blocked for an unknown reason 😑
When yesterday Obsidio became available I bought it again and thankfully today it's been delivered, BUT the edges of the cover are uneven, the edges are ruined and it isn't even silver foiled like everyone else's.
I SWEAR I WON'T BE PREORDERING EVER AGAIN.
OK, sorry for the rant, but I'm salty af rn. I hope the content will keep up my expectations at least lol
《My name is Percy Jackson.I'm twelve years old. Until a few months ago, I was a boarding student at Yancy Academy, a private school for troubled kids in upstate New York. Am I a troubled kid? Yeah. You could say that.》
Ok, tell me WHY I waited so long to read this series.
I mean, this is SO my style. Witty comments, an action-packed story, Olympus gods and whatever ♥
In my defence I should say that I got deceived by other people's comments like “this is a mess/it's a retarded version of Harry Potter/blah blah blah”. WHAT? Anybody could agree on the fact that the movie sucked [I watched it a month ago while I was in the middle of the book (I wanted to read it before the movie aired on tv but I failed, obviously) and I needed some time to recover from the shock. It was so... Different and boring, duh.], but the books are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Honest, I can't wait to read the next one (in the mean time I'll read another compendium book, just because).
1) Spero vivamente che il film sia decente;
Copy provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.《For years, DC has been synonymous with the greatest graphic novels ever created. Now you can start with the basics—DC's top-notch, must-read, absolute cream of the crop—all listed in this DC ESSENTIAL GRAPHIC NOVELS 2017 catalog.》DC Essential Graphic Novels 2017 proves to be a very helpful guide to people new to DC's Universe. The first point goes to the great cover, I love it!!To me, the main focus is the list of 25 Essential Graphic Novels, but throughout the whole guide, the different synopsis of each comic series and the comments from the media help to get you instantly interested in them. You can also find a list of the DC comics' reading order and a section dedicated to upcoming movies and TV shows, along with comics recommendations.I have noted down a list of comics I would like to read ([b:Batman: The Killing Joke 96358 Batman The Killing Joke Alan Moore https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1346331835s/96358.jpg 551787] is on top of it since I already own it but I haven't read it yet. thumbs up!
《I didn't know if he was a murderer, but I knew he had a bottomless void inside him. And that void was what made him lie. I've been there. Compared to where Frank was at, it may have been like a Hello Kitty version, but I've been there.》
THIS. BOOK. IS. SO. DISTURBING.
Oh my- At some point I was going to throw up the hell out of me, seriously.
... But I have to say that from 80% on (I was reading the ebook version, of course) I was kinda bored, but obviously I wanted to know how it ended so I tried my best to finish it.
A final comment? I feel so paranoid right now. Just let me live in my bedroom and don't let me see the sunlight ever again, please.
《“There are all these perfect people here. And... It's like, if you're not one of them, then you're messed up. But I think, inside, the flawless-looking people are just as messed up as we are.”》
Overall I think the first book was slightly better.
Sadly, there's really not much I can say about this one either (I already watched the first seasons of the TV series, so nothing surprised me that much), but I still enjoyed it finding out this one was a quick read, too!
《I told him that my mother had lately died during the birth of my youngest brother and this had caused our family a good deal of hardship. Archibald Ross replied that for folk like us there was no other ship than the hard ship.》
★★★★½
This review will be spoilery, so watch out u.u
Well, I spent the whole night trying to finish this book (31~84% from 3am till 7am. YES. I stopped to read for a couple hours but I HAD TO GO ON), soooooo I guess it's supposed to be a good book, right? :)
I wanted so bad to know how it ended or if there would be more facts to know about (since the beginning I couldn't feel like I could wholly trust Roddy's account, for he being a murderer).
Honestly, at this right moment I don't know what to think about him. I feel confused in a weird way, but I can't explain it very well lol
Did he really kill them because of Lachlan MacKenzie's behavior or did he solely wanted to rape Flora? But then, why did he bother to take the tools with him? Was it only to have a kind of excuse to go there or did he plan to kill her after raping her?During the whole time of the trial my theory was that he raped Flora and inflicted her such injuries firstly because she rejected him twice, but also because in a twisted way he wanted to "punish" Lachlan, considering the fact he used to have sexual intercourseswith Roddy's sister, Jetta (I still have to understand if they were lovers or if he used to rape her tho. If he used to, then my theory makes even more sense, I think). I mean, I don't think it is a coincidence he put her corpse on the table, considering the fact Roddy surprised Lachlan while having sex with Jetta in that position. Do you know what I mean, right? XD Maybe Lachlan arrived at home while Roddy was raping her on the table, facing the same scene Roddy saw that time??? This is mindfucking me, buddies.DO YOU SEE IT? I HATE WHEN I DON'T KNOW THE TRUTH, NGHHHH. Why didn't he even bother to write something after the trial?! Just don't leave me like thiiiiiiiis D:In any case, I always find it hard to forgive a killer, especially when they try to defend themselves saying they are insane or whatever. Like, seriously?! Of course you're all cuckoo, but it doesn't mean you have the right to live "happily" (like to live in prison would be an happy ending lol) after taking other people's lives {even if I can understand how sometimes some people just don't deserve the right to breathe my same air, being the scum of this world -.- I'd never end up killing someone, but Lachlan didn't deserve any less being a bully who just wanted to ruin other people's lives IMO. Deprive a family of their food and house without a real reason? WOW, seriously? -.-}Anyway, I don't feel like it's supposed to be right to argument a sensitive topic like this one on a site like GR, so I'll probably edit this review very soon, I don't know lol
Anywho, I would have gladly given it five stars, but the part of the trial was too repetitive, being kind of boring :/ Beside that, this book totally deserves the hype :)
o5/o4/2o17
Finally I have this juicy baby in my hands ♥ It's so good to flip these pages full of good stuff ___
Now I regret I read Illuminae's ebook version. I feel like I need the paperback to re-read it RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THE GRAPHIC DESIGN IS SO GORGEOUS AND NOW I KNOW THE EBOOK WAS A LITTLE SHIAT!!!!
Read 21~23/o4/2o17
Little personal recap: Ok, at the end I obviously bought Illuminae too (can you see how can I be so dumb?) and I jumped right on it as soon as I got it because I wanted to re-read it in order to get on the feels train once again before getting on the highly hyped Gemina. Little recap is over
I seriously have mixed feelings right now. 😵
I don't know, I feel almost disappointed at the moment. I was hyping so much over this book because of all those positive reviews (most of them saying Gemina was way better than Illuminae), so at the end I'm here feeling guilty because I didn't like it as much as I would have wanted 😢
I still liked it, mind you, but during the whole reading process I felt like it was lacking something. I mean, Illuminae had those zombie-likes and a darker and scarier tone in it.. And above all, THOSE PLOT TWISTS OMG they made me feel deceived and gave me chills for days (a lot less during the re-read obvs since I already knew what was going to happen, duh). While in Gemina, well.. Yeah. The only fat plot twist was predictably at the end of the book but it didn't give me the same emotions that those in Illuminae previously did 😪
Anywhoooo, I think it still deserves four stars (with a little extra) BUT I honestly hope Obsidio will be STUNNING and reasonably FLAWLESS because I deserve it, k? 💁
Re-read 16/o3~o7/o4/2o18
Well, I planned to re-read Illuminae and Gemina before Obsidio's releasing date and it was all happiness and excitement until freaking Amazon told me that Obsidio wasn't available (excuse you, I've ordered it almost one year ago. How could that be?! Tell me if it happened to you before, because it can't be.) and has been postponing the shipment for, like, almost a month now. SO. I don't want to make excuses (yeah, right 😂), but as the time passed I've lost interest in reading Gemina because I was feeling depressed and I've wanted to burn the books with my house along with them lmao
Anywhooooooo, beside that, I've read almost half of the book in one sitting today and I have to say that I liked it more than the first time I've read it 💙
So, well, I guess I will change my rating to 5 stars because I feel good. And, who knows? Maybe making some good I will get some good in return (➡️Obsidio will
be shipped in a couple of days⬅️ maybe? I'm delusional, I know. The shipment date is still a mystery and I'm so angry rn sgrunt) 😁
