I have to be total honest, this was lackluster. The first two books were entertaining and intriguing despite the dull writing, i was able to push through and have a nice time. This was terrible, despite the message it was trying to send. It took me so long to get through this that i settled on just skimming through the summary at the end

A petulant child calls his wife a bitch because she has refused to have sex with him after laying out a rule stating that she will only sleep with him once and he agreed to it. Then, despite her refusing, he still went down on her because he couldnt help himself around her and needed something from her and justified it by saying that she didnt specify where he can kiss but she never actually said kissing was allowed he put that rule there himself. The author made him admirable by making him a kind soul, who protected and cared for evie while that was nice of him, the words bitch echoed throughout the rest of the book. Not only that, but evie really drained her standards by settling wth someone like him, who did the bare minimum and thought he was great.
St vincent is not that man he thinks he is.
Someone recommended this as “a book similar to magnolia parks angst” bitch where?
First, this was pure paedophilia, rape and taking advantage of a minor? The author tried to twist it around to convince that it's the right trope but all she did was convince me that this man is nothing but a fucking pervert
Fuck this shit. I wasted so much of my time reading this only to get that ending. I kept waiting for it to get better but alas. I am never getting my 4 hours back

Even though i knew she'd end up with BJ regardless but i liked her with julian. They were good together and to see him fall for her and do what he did for her was just heartbreakingly awful. BJ pissed me off in this one a lot like i wanted to smash his face against the wall several times. Fucking hated jordan!
Overall, it made me tear up a bit when they talked about each other but it felt a bit of drag sometimes.
while this is so well written, the lack of communication and connection between the two characters dampened my intrigue and put me off. By connection, i do not mean chemistry - chemistry was off the charts, by connection i mean, they wasnt anything beyond lust between them. It was very sudden for me that tyler came to the conclusion that he not only loved her but wanted to marry her.
My biggest pet peeve in books is miscommunication or lack thereof. It is the biggest turn off, especially when you know the characters are adults and not some sixteen year old teenagers.
