'How did you two meet?'
It's the question I dread.
Because my (not so) meet cute was unexpected to say the least. I was in Beverly Hills, searching for someone to take me on as their bride, you know, as you do.
He was striding around the block, mumbling about a business deal gone wrong.
That's when we bumped into each other . . . And there were no sparks. Not even a hint of blossoming love.
But next thing I knew, he'd convinced me to pretend to be his girlfriend so he could get his deal back on track. Suddenly, I find myself living in a mansion, enjoying swanky business lunches, and pretending we're head over heels in love . . .
My one big mistake, though . . . big . . . HUGE . . .
I might accidentally be falling for Huxley Cane.

This wasn't my first Meghan Quinn book, but was my first ARC of the author and I was so freaking excited, I love Meghan's writing style and I knew this book wouldn't disappoint me.
So, we have these characters, Lottie and Huxley, that have an interesting first meeting and decide to help each other. When they start this agreement Huxley is a different person, it's more serious and it's all about the contract they have, his only goal is for everything to go well and for Lottie to behave.
And then Lottie, being Lottie, likes to push Huxley buttons. She's the opposite of Huxley and I really love her, love her personality. Lottie is chaos in Huxley's perfect and organized life, so yes, she's the kind of character that I like.
The side characters were funny to read, especially Lottie's sister and Huxley's brothers, I hope we can read more about them.
The book was so easy to read guys, and was fun, and of course, our grumpy, robot male character that his mission is not to throw compliments at the girl, has his romantic side and does some things for her giggling
So, go to read this book, the tropes are: fake engagement, fake pregnancy, contract, forced proximity
The baby class was one of the funniest things I have read in a long time. I loved the banter between Lottie and Huxley.
Laugh-out-loud funny, charming, sexy and all that jazz befitting of a romance novel.
