I really appreciate how there's a very defined progress of the story in this series. With a series title of "We Hunt Monsters", there's no surprise that it's exactly what you get every singel entry and this one doesn't disappoint.

I love this series, but man do I just want more to happen. The way these are written on Patreon originally just incentivises dragging the story out and while the extensive world building is part of what I enjoy about the genre, it also wears you down after a while to the point I could (and probably will) literally copy and paste this review onto multiple books.

This book unfortunately has a lot of 2nd book syndrome. It feels like it's left a lot of the world-building behind, but it also didn't push forward the plot near as much as I would hope. Just a bit of a slump, but still a solid read and I'm hoping the trilogy pulls it all together.
