Just a good, solid entry in what continues to be a fun series. There’s not much more to this than “numbers go up and people get stronger”, but it’s done in such a way that it doesn’t need to be more than that.

Phil Tucker just knows how to write entertaining stories! There’s nothing too complex happening here just yet, but it’s fun and engaging while adding some unique spins on what could easily be a very tired concept. Hoping this continues to be a fun ride!

Pretty fun follow up to what seems like is going to be a really engaging series! While the focus of the story wasn’t exactly where I’d like to be, the additional world building was done really well. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I’m not too sure this trilogy stuck the landing. Maybe I just wasn’t in the right mood for it, but I found the book slow and fairly boring. The emotional beats didn’t hit for me and I was just glad to be done with it.

Very solid entry in the series. While there wasn’t a ton that actually happened, it’s a quick read and a good setup for what seems like will be the final entry in the series.
