Hades and Persephone's interactions are so cute and dorky!

Okay I loved the characters but the story was kinda weird (nonsense, as you would say). The narrator's high pitched voice for Rini really grated on my nerves so this only gets 3 stars.
I was very happy to see Kade and Christopher and Nancy again. Cora was introduced but didn't have much role. I liked her.

Another solid and entertaining volume! I loved Brief Lives so much. Delirium was so much fun. The last chapter hit me like a slap in the face

This was perfect! Loved this way more than the first book. Liked the author's narration a lot more too.
The beginning with Jack and Jill literally going up a hill and tumbling down the stairs was a nice touch! The story was amazing! The ending was so sad. Poor Jac

This was very close to perfect! I enjoyed how it was a portal fantasy, one of my favourite tropes, but also not that much of a fantasy with barely any portals (that we get to see).

Nancy! The best aroace description ever! The closest I've ever felt represented in media.

The murder mystery was cool. I liked how it progressed and people became better friends. The ending was a surprise

3.5 stars ✨ and only because the last damn chapter was more interesting than the whole book combined.
Huge pacing problems!! I didn't like how it dragged so much in the beginning. Like, move faster you guys have been dead for a whole book.

WTF happened with Tesh and Tressa in the end?! So they just never made it out?
And then Brin died??? Are you fucking kidding me with this?!?!? So Hadrian is a Teshlor knight in name and not a descendant of Tesh???

The story was very convoluted, and triggering. What tied it together for me was the last chapter where real life events from Sylvia's life were told (as an extension of Esther's ending). This was so hard to read/listen to. I was horrified more than once.
I do understand however, that this shows the real and cruel aspects of depression, and something the author needed to get out of her system to able to move on.

4.5 stars! This was so good. The blurb telling Sanderson fans will like this was not wrong.
I liked sooo many of the characters! There was a lot of development. This is mostly plot driven but all the characters are so compelling.

This was really well written and thoroughly enjoyable. The ending was bittersweet and I did not see it coming

I loved this one more than even Act 1. Even the short standalone stories were good in this.
Favourites were: Season of Mists, Thermidor, Three Septembers and a January, the last chapter of a Game of You, Ramadan.
Special mention to Orpheus' song! That was terrific ✨ and you could feel the emotions!

Each Skyward Flight story was my favourite till I read the next one and it was even more amazing.

Got kinda sad in the middle there but I liked the ending. Had a little suspicion about the MC and I was right ☺️ but everything else was a punch to my feels.

This one had a lot more kissing! And the start of mental health discussions. I had read this so long ago that I had no recollection of anything. Cute Tao and Elle moments too

The weakest one in the trilogy. Mid dragged a bit, but wasn't too bad.
But it wasn't as exciting as the other 2 books. I guess the mystery of the smooth men and the beheaded people was just too entertaining ☹️

P.S. Someone tell me how or why the Saint of Steel died?!?!?!? That's the biggest mystery!

Advantages of reading after watching the show - The songs automatically play in your head and provide background music

Enjoyed this one a lot more than the author's last book - The Cousins. The characters are starting to feel a bit like caricatures every time. But these books are still so easy to read and I like the fast paced stories.
The mystery had lots of twists and turns. The ending for this book was definitely awkward

This book was amazing! Very less gore and torture than advertised. The beginning was a bit slow but once all the characters were introduced, not only did the story pick up but it was humourous is a unique way and enjoyable.

And as always, the best part was near the end when all the characters met and chaos ensued

Re-read since I finally acquired the paperbacks!
