I spent most of the book wondering if anything was actually happening. It's not that I didn't enjoy it but the pace was too slow for me. That said, the writing has this poetic quality that kept me turning the pages even when I wasn't sure why. Overall, I liked it more in hindsight than I did while reading it.

This book did not disappoint. While it's not heavy on plot, that's part of its charm. The real magic is in the conversations between Dex and Mosscap as they try to make sense of their existence in a way that feels deeply relatable. Now I'm craving a cup of tea and a little more clarity about my own purpose. I can't wait to continue the series!

This book was so unsettling and graphic that it was almost hard to get through at times. I could barely make it through the sections narrated by her husband and her brother-in-law. It was beautifully written, but what an unbearably sad experience.

It was fine. I enjoyed the lists and descriptions of space, but the writing and lack of plot didn't quite work for me. While it's obviously pretty and aiming to be profound, I found myself zoning out a lot, and it felt like reading pretentious Tumblr posts. Meh.

Yet another thought-provoking and often hilarious take on AI and purpose (featuring tea again!). The sharp writing and great pacing made it fun to read, even though some chapters felt a bit dragged out. I really enjoyed how the story unfolded, slowly revealing what happened to the world. I also found Uncharles and The Wonk incredibly likable. Despite some slower moments, I loved every bit of this.
