Love jewish lesbians dealing with generational trauma and substance abuse
But I was unsatisfied with the ending tbh
Needs more gay yearning but I'm invested in the story so will be coming back for the next book
A creepy and thought provoking read! I would definitely read more set in this universe
Really liked all the twists and turns. Everyone was a suspect at one point. My only qualm is about Hannah feeling SOOOOO bad for Nevil as if he wasn't still a creepy stalker?? Idk still a fun read

Honestly one of the worst books I've ever read. I only finished it out of sheer spite. All the characters are dumb as rocks, the author knows nothing about the legal system, also the random ghost sex???? Don't waste your time horrible read
Very thought provoking! I did have a slight gripe with the audiobook, Ansel is from upstate NY but the narrator had a very Brooklyn accent.... Just annoyed me lol
Written with an interesting perspective! Some of the characters pissed me off but the audiobook was really well produced

Murder mystery with a big emphasis on grief.
I felt the connection to The Silent Patient to be a bit unnecessary. Or if it had to stay in, just that Zoe ended up in the Grove too ┐(´ー`)┌
Still really liked the mystery!
Couldn't put it down!

The reveal was shocking but kind of abrupt, I wish it could have been fleshed out more but still a great read
It was pretty good but I thought the sex scene in the middle was completely unnecessary
At least my depression isn't that bad, of course it's easier to be suicidal when you're rich
Just reread, its a really cool take on the classic fairytale. Some parts can be a little ham-fisted though, even by YA standards.
Absolutely hated every minute of this book. It was written by/for a babyqueer who spent too much time on Tumblr. There are ways to write queer characters so that they don't feel so forced?? It felt like pandering and sooooo annoying. The narration and actions of characters was in direct conflict for the whole thing too. The other characters and narration kept saying how Tara was so smart and such a good writer but then all she writes is a shitty Jane Eyre fanfiction, and then can't even manage to write anything herself after her financial situation changed. Tara directly compares herself to Meredith saying she was just as good, if not better, but she was just a whiny annoying brat the whole book.
