Did not enjoy this book. The writing style was all over the place and the story was not captivating. Would not recommend it.
Compelling
The writimgmstyle of this author spoke to me as a reflection of how my mind operates. Conversational, flow of consciousness, the writing kept me engaged from start to finish.
Refreshing reminder to not take life so seriously.
Easy, conversational read. Refreshed is the best word I can use to describe how this book makes me feel. .
A quick read on using stories in software development. Very high level. While I read it cover to cover, I would advise reading the end of each chapter's bullet points to see what parts you wish to read more about. Bullet points pretty much tell you everything you need to know.
Phenomenal
Unbelievable story that so beautifully offers most people a small or even big reflection of themselves. I'll forever be grateful for this story.
I highly recommend this book, even if you only read the first third or so. Mark has a way or rephrasing what we have all likely read or heard at one point or another such that it hits home. I strive to be a better person but am not a self-help junkie. I've already applied some of the concepts in the book and while I can't say I feel markedly happier, I feel freer because of the clarity I have on how my life and decisions are working.
Normalizes learning
Loved this book. It normalizes so many learning challenges so that in fact they are just normal parts of learning and no longer demoralizing setbacks.
