i truly do not have words for this book. the way jessa talks about grief, love, and the human experience... nothing compares to writing like this. i cried several times, and it takes a lot for me to cry. 6 stars forever

definitely my fav of the series, so wholesome :') 600 pages was a lil much in my opinion, but i enjoyed it regardless!

the next day: wow oh wow. never in my life did i think i would read a book over a thousand pages, period. on top of that, i never imagined a book over a thousand pages would feel SHORT. like not enough. i need MORE. i have been pulled right into this world and i am LIVING IN IT. i can't even begin to explain how good this is, just read it for yourself. i will be sad when this story ends and i have to leave these characters behind. truly incredible world building, found family, and character arcs. this book kept me interested and on my toes the whole time. can't wait for the next one <3

the character development and found family

so much fun and such an interesting world. i love the FMC so much, her personality and banter with the other characters is SO GOOD. cannot wait to continue this series!

3.5 rounded up to 4 because i really really love the found family and character building in this book!! it felt a little slow at times, and each conflict was resolved fairly quick, but i had a great time reading it and i can see the potential for the series to be incredibly rewarding to read!
