Interesting story. I didn't like how it just ended but pleased that the story tied up loose ends. It was so sad reading about Cleo the goat! It was sad that when she moved to the city she pretty much forgot about Henry and Colette until the end, although we don't know if she ever actually made it back to see them.
I really enjoyed this story. It was great how the bad guys were two steps ahead until they found the mole in the police station. I had guessed who it would be. Was great to see Melvin pop up again.
I think I like this one better than the second book in the series. It had me guessing and we got to see an insight into other characters. I liked that he had a side kick and do pleased she got to carry on with her life outside the program - I was sure she had died from her gun shot wound! Will be interesting to see if we see Candy in the next book!
I'm not a fan of books that jump back and forth in time so wasn't sure how I was going to like reading this. I saw a note someone had written on a piece of paper at the front of the library book and it said this person had read all of Eve's story up to page 440 and then gone back and read Charlie's story up to page 440 and then read the book normally. I decided to do that too and I think it was an awesome way to do it and so glad I saw the suggestion. I really enjoyed this book! I was reading it as part of a challenge but so glad I did! It's amazing to think it is based on true events (The Alice Network) and a real person Louise de Bettignies who played a part in the story (although she wasn't one of the main characters in this story). I would totally recommend this book to read!
Cute story which deals with the main character, Martha, learning things about her family/life she didn't know about.
What an amazing women she is! I thoroughly enjoyed this book even though I don't read a lot of non fiction books. The photos in the middle were awesome too! I have seen the carpool karaoke she did with James Cordon that she talks about near the end. To learn she likes HGTV made my day, since I got addicted to that channel during lockdown.
This was an easy to read fun book. I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books so the references to Harry Potter went over my head. It was predictable but it did make me laugh.
This was a great story about the lives of Laurie, Sarah and Jack and people they meet along the way. If Laurie had of told Sarah straight away who Jack was, there would have been no story. I was so gutted when Laurie and Sarah who had been best friends forever had that awful fight! I am glad everything worked out in the end. I did get a lump in my throat at the end.
This book did jump around which I'm not a huge fan of. I did feel like you got to know Kya really well watching her growing up in the book. I'm pleased that she was able to reconnect with her brother after being abandoned by everyone. Also pleased that we find out who killed Chase in the end.
I really only read this for a challenge I'm doing. I didn't realise it was all just letters to and from different people. She wasn't very nice to her daughter!
Another great story and the end of his nemesis Kyle Craig! Nana Mama is still going strong which I'm pleased about!
I thought it was a great way to finish of the story of Tully and Kate. It did give you background on Tully's mum which was good. It was hard to read about Marah and the cutting. I am glad she got rid off her loser boyfriend in the end.
I'm so glad I read the Magician's Nephew before this story as I think it works so much better knowing the background of the witch and the wardrobe before reading it. I kept thinking about the movie when I was reading it and picturing those characters in my head as I was reading the book.
Wow, I cried actual tears at the end of this book! I pretty much knew what was going to happen but it still made me cry. Not only Iris passing away but Olly and Tess getting together, finally!
I'd heard mixed reviews about this but I enjoyed it. It did jump back and forward in time which I'm not a fan of but it made sense to do it that way to learn the background of the characters.
This was the first book I've read by her. It was so great. It had me laughing out loud but also sitting there with a lump in my throat. Can't wait to read more of her books.
A great story about a search and rescue dog and owner working for the FBI K9 unit. I even got a lump in my throat when reading about her first dog partner getting killed in action. The whole team worked well together!
I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. Wasn't a fan of the political speak but with a past President as co-author I guessed there was going to be some. I thought it was a great story line and it had me guessing for awhile who the traitor was, but I did figure it out before the end.
Wow - I think I have found a new favourite author! This book was amazing and really opened my eyes to what living in the wild was like, but also living with a violent person. It all felt so real. I actually had tears in my eyes at the end - so glad she went home!
A great little murder mystery. Great characters and twists along the way. Looking forward to the next book.
Wow! I did not see the revelation of who the mastermind was coming! I had to rush through the house to get the next book in the series as I had to know what was going to happen next and how they would uncover the identity of the mastermind! On top of that Alex had to deal with a sick daughter and his relationship breaking down completely!
Took me a little while to get into - just getting to know the characters. Then it all just clicked and I had to keep reading to find out how it was going to end!
This was a great introduction to a new main character. He turned up in the last Amos Decker story I read so I decided to find out more about him by reading his story. Looking forward to reading more. Liked his cat's name!
A different story to the other David Baldacci books I've read! I would like to know what the illness was that Jack had. Lizzie's mother wasn't very kind but I'm glad she saw sense in the end.
