Really enjoyed this story! I was hooked from the start. The characters were all really likeable (except for one!). I'm going to look at other books she's written now.
A fun read with humour, mystery and romance all rolled into one. I wasn't a fan of the going back and forth in time but you really had to for the back story.
We were a bit late to the party of how good the programme The Casketeers was. We've just finished watching the latest season and I decided to read their first book. It was such an interesting read! You learn so much about them! Some parts made me laugh out loud, as I could just imagine Francis saying those things.
Wow - the bond between Robert and the dog he found after crash landing was amazing! It did irritate me that the dog would try and warn his master and those around him of trouble but they wouldn't always believe him! The dog went through so much it was amazing he lived out the other side of the war! So stoked that he got a medal!
I didn't realise when getting this book out of the library that it was actually five short stories. I didn't like one of the stories - a little too weird for me. The others were ok and you got to know the characters quite quickly.
A quick read. I read it for a reading challenge- a western. Was only a light western but still it fit the prompt. Didn't really gel with the characters and I wouldn't read it again.
Was a great start to a new series. I liked the fact that the characters you know from the Andy Carpenter stories are in there as well. Looking forward to more.
Wow! I could not put this book down and read it less than a week! What an awesome story and what an ending. I can't wait to read the next book!
I don't normally read fantasy books but this held my interest the whole time. The characters were definitely different and not what I was expecting!
Another awesome story and to have Beatrix Potter appear was amazing. Really enjoyed the background of Star's story. Can't wait to read about CeCe now.
PS, I love you is one of my favourite books ever. It took quite awhile for the sequel to come out, which takes place 7 years later. I'm glad all the people from the other book turned up in this one. I don't think it's as good as the first book but really good for a sequel.
It was action packed from start to finish. All the main characters were likeable and it had an epilogue so you could read what happened to them after the war.
It took me a little bit to get into this, but once I did, I just had to keep reading! I really enjoyed reading about the old library deliveries by pack horse or mule. The bonds the girls had with their horses/mules was sweet.
I liked Nancy Drew as a kid so this was a good story with a great murder mystery. Too much bad language for my liking though.
A nice Christmas story with romance, quite a few giggles and a mischievous cat! Easy to read and great characters.
Another great Alex Cross story!
I do prefer it when he works with Sampson but Mahoney is a good guy!
I really enjoyed this! There were some real laugh out loud moments! The characters were all likeable - although at one point I was thinking - what are you doing Nina?! It all worked out in the end though! I will have to look at the other books she's written!
With the coronavirus going around at the moment it was a bit scary reading about scientists who purposefully infected people with a strain of bird flu that could infect others easily. Wasn't as much of a focus on the dogs in this story, (apart from whether or not Creed's dogs could get infected if the were trained to detect the virus) but was amazing to see they could train dogs to detect the virus.
I normally aren't a fan of books that go back and forward in time but the way this was done was really good. There was a chunk in the present and then a chunk in the past, future and past. Now I'm going to have to read the rest of the series to see how the other sisters lives came into being. It was 600+ pages but it had my interest from start to finish and I read it quite fast.
It was a fun read but quite wordy. Would have given it 3.5 stars if I could but not worth 4 stars in my opinion.
Really enjoyed reading more of Eden's story in this book, but also carrying on the story of Day or Daniel as he's known as in Antarctica. It was a great end to the series, and all loose ends were tied up which was great! Kind of sad the series is finished now!
I wasn't too sure what to think initially as when I got the book out the librarian said she'd heard mixed reviews. I enjoyed it and it was good to see Joey pop up from the last book in the series. I'm looking forward to the next instalment, although I guess its probably over a year away.
It took me awhile to get into this book. I'd read a lot of good things about it but it just wasn't my cup of tea. The jumping between characters and years was a little annoying. I'm glad Stella went home even if it was just for a night!
