this was cute, though a bit teenage-y for me. i'm quite disappointed this didn't have anything to do with the arthurian legend, but i enjoyed the world building nonetheless! it has a lot of dnd vibes especially at the beginning and then it flows away from adventures and action and is more focused on the characters, which really isn't a problem for me. i think the only problem i have with this is that it seems a bit childish/teen-ish, i really thought the writing would be a bit more mature, but it was still fine

god i don't remember how i first came across this book, or what made me add it to my tbr list, but i'm so glad i did. this was absolutely beautiful, and i've loved every part of it
read this very quickly while waiting in the hospital... the portuguese translation was pretty much on point, absolutely loved all the very portuguese names they gave the characters and was very surprised to find out this was a nancy drew story

fuck everything, this was perfect i loved it so much! kageyama as lightning mcqueen was the best choice ever made and i loved the whole concept. his character was so well developed too and i loved the writing, and even though i was absolutely captivated by kageyama's point of view i would love to read everything all over again but in hinata's point of view! the whole thing was so well written that it wasn't necessary to switch over to anyone else and it was perfect as just tobio's pov, but god would i love to read hinata's thoughts
as someone who likes bruce i'm so happy seeing him treat kids like this he's so perfect, but as someone who likes his children i'm so sad he's treating random kids like this and caring for them while ignoring dick and jason not even being mentioned in this issue
got this for free on kindle but to call it a “prelude” really is a bit . much. this was just a /really/ small preview of the actual series. but oh well

if i could give negative stars to a book, this would be the one to get them... uhm. it somehow incorporates every single bad trope a book could ever have. incest, pedophilia, homophobia, fetishization of both gays and japanese people, misogyny, accusing gay men of being “predatory” and then having your character be exactly that... i have no words. it's just plain bad. and even if we do ignore ALL that, there's still so much wrong in this book, the lack of vocabulary, no character depth, really none of these characters had a personality. the repetitiveness, sometimes i felt like i was reading the same scene over and over again with only a couple of details changed... and that's just naming a few off the top of my head

I don't have much to say about this. I do think the ending was rushed, but who knows, maybe I was the one who actually read it way too fast.
think it might also be 3 and a half stars
liked this more than the second one, but it could never beat the first one. loved conrad's character in this one and i'm glad we finally got to see his side

ok, i'm excited for my class on monday because both this and the last text i had to read seem very interesting, and i really hope the discussion is engaging enough. i might actually choose this topic to write about as well
