Some great ideas and a valuable perspective, but it fails on me not grasping the category.
I wonder what audience it targets. For me who is already a feminist it did not add anything new. And the maths part could have been evolved more.
With that said I really liked it, as it was kind of unique. I hope she writes a second edition with more category theory and math.
I love how this system catches the players will to be a X. And simply stating that is part of the character definition. Yes getting a charged View of what X is and how it enables and hinders person is still needed. But also part of the play. Simply I am an “elf Hunter, forged in the great war between dragons and demons” I shouldn't miss that target with my bow. And get the bonus. Simple creates world building and characters Stories become the core of the tale.
I wish I could rate this higher. It has great insights about how we learn. Understanding different perspectives, Nd evaluating how useful they are. Looking at experiences and a holistic view of the subject at hand.
What removes two stars, is how complex they decided to write it, in terms of selected words. And the focus on describing the scientific research i much more than the learnings. I think the area are interesting and I will look for other books by the authors that might go more in to details of describing how we learn and how we could teach.
This book was a good read that offers a fresh perspective on marketing in relations to product management, UX design, and the philosophy of creating. Lauchengco explains the fundamentals of product marketing and how to adapt product marketing to more agile processes. The book was very informative and gave me a better understanding of the role of product marketing. I recommend this book to someone interested in learning more about product marketing and grasp the basic concepts. But I also think the book gives a limited view on the PM role, and that role has been better explained in other books.
Happy reading! :)
This book is great for people who are in to DDD and want to hear the story of its journey. I think it is a good source for anyone who wants to make a broad and deep dive in to DDD. As from this book they can extract other books that they should need.
It is not for someone who wants to start learning about DDD or fire someone like me who like to have a refresher and classified definition of the domain. I might find it more valuable later down the line.
