The book has some really good points and the core message is solid. You have to like or at least appreciate military stories to really enjoy it though. At times it even becomes a bit disturbing how the authors dehumanize the “the enemy”.

This is how a non-fiction book is supposed to be written. Clear and interesting story backed up by science and actionable things to make your life better and longer.

Easy sci-fi with a lot going on. Looking forward to reading the next book.

It's mostly just the crude ramblings of an angsty teenager, but it does get a bit interesting towards the end and it is different when you think about when it was written.

The most useful takeaway from the book is that there are different types of people. You need to adapt to that and treat people differently. The framework that the book uses to classify people is perhaps best thought of as an example of how you could group different people. It is in no way the only or best way to classify people. The book has zero references to scientific studies and instead focuses on the personal experiences of one individual. That doesn't mean that the book and the ideas aren't useful, but they are definitely not undisputed facts.

All in all, if you value examples and an easy and useful mental framework then this is for you. If you want facts, look elsewhere.

What an emotional roller-coaster. It hit right in the feels

The message is interesting, but the book is too long. It has too many different examples and storylines of the same thing and becomes hard to read.

If you work with IT in any way this is a must read!

It's like an action thriller for IT. It does get a bit less exciting and more informative towards the end, but well worth it anyway!

Great action thriller for geeks. A bit too “showoffy” about knowing some tech terms at times, but well worth it.

Funny in an absurd way, but not as current as it once was.

Practical book about Scala with lots of good “recipes” for actual use. Targeted maybe a bit more towards those who are coming from Java.

Well referenced with solid science about nutrition. Takes an objective view without bias about “traditional” healthy foods. Some parts are a bit pessimistic about human nature and differences between sexes without much solid evidence.

Interesting when placed in context but overhyped. I wonder how many of the internet article writers who recommend this have actually read it.

The book has two flaws, it is too short and impossible to put down!
