Justice for Janie!!
I have little thoughts for this book, but all I can say is Janie has been through a lot. Seeing her struggle to find love and losing it in the most heartbreaking way was a lot to read. The writing was beautiful and very deep, but overall I enjoyed this read.
A beautiful exploration of grief, addition and the effects it leaves on the human mind.
Not to mention the writing was absolutely gorgeous 😍. Gifty's experience hit home and it was so interesting to watch her slowly unravel and start to open up to others instead of internalizing and psychoanalyzing herself. The blending of past and present is really done well here and it further adds to the depth of Gifty, Nana and their mother. What a great way to start off 2024!
A beautifully written and heartbreaking story about Ranita's journey to redemption. This was incredibly reflective and I loved the way her story was told and how she slowly unravels herself to not only her family but to the unhealed child that never grew up.
Beautiful story!! This was the perfect book to read over the weekend. Mickey and Diego are so adorable together and their relationship over the course of the book was beautiful to read 😊
