I don’t remember how this book arrived in my pile but it was a great read! I’m surprised because it’s quite old now but stays still so relevant about many parts especially the impact of divorce on one’s life’s.
Its depiction of New York of the 20s is bright and filled with a lot of alcohol consumption, but each character is really rich and you get deeply attached to Patricia and the way she handles her life.

Maame tells the story of a girl that has to take care of her father inflicted with Alzheimer while trying to deal with a shitty job, an absent mother and an unreliable brother. Throughout the book we're following Maame slowly evolving and affirming herself while growing up, sometimes in the hardest way.
This book is really well writen and the POV of the main character is truly interesting. I related a lot on how Maame deals with anxiety and depression, while also getting to understand a lot more about what it means to grow up and evolve in this world as a black woman. This book made me feel so many emotions and I highlighted so many parts, I'm truly happy that I read it.

What if Jesus was a time traveller? A really well crafted novel about religion, psychology and one’s expectations. Well written, an easy read with a lot to unpack.

Great short novel playing on what exactly the "great men" bring to humanity and how hoarders do a lot of damages. Really liked the take and the exchange between the character and the narrator, totally advise it!

I hate no idea who Jennette McCurdy was but you can’t stop yourself to be attracted by such a title! And I must say this memoir was really well written, it made me laugh, smile but also empathise a lot with Jennette life and the toxic relationship built by her mother. Between toxic family environment, eating disorders and the world of child actors, this book is a great insight from a life that happens out of control.
