3.5
uh this was good I think
didn't write a review at the time now I don't know what to say
oh, I relate to Philippa a lot.
a very easy and enjoyable read imo
it really teaches you things
n there are lots of stuff I marked n lots of emojis n sentences I wrote in this book
eager to read the second one n to watch the show
I think a 3.5
can I just hug this angry little guy?
I experienced a lot of feelings during this one (you can see it in my book since it's the first novel that I've innotated)
I liked Yunjae and Gon and they were kinda relatable to me (mostly Gon), and I kinda liked Dora as well.
I think as the story went on at the last pages, I liked it a little less and a little less, and the ending wasn't really for me.
i thought this could be a 5 star for me but... yeah the ending.
it was good I think. gave me some ideas n recommended lots of books
but it was more about the myths and perks of being alone, rather than how to be alone (had some good tips tho)
2.5 stars
-yeah? Davy's your effin' favorite of the twins? the one who locked his sister for hours while she was scared, cold n hungry? and you like the quiet good-kid Dory who does everything right less? because she's boring and too-good for you? you think she needs you less? she's a kid.
I don't hate Davy like some, he's a kid as well, n I'm glad he started to act better. I just hate their favoritism over him and not caring about Dora.
-that whole paragraph about Anne being “not like other girls”. ew. so THAT'S why you like Anne?
-where's Diana? come on.
-Anne even favors one of her pupils at school and says one of em isn't “original” or sth. so what? you're their teacher, be nice, do your job n go home. you shouldn't care that much about them being special and interesting enough for you.
-this was in general less entertaining than the first book.
-I find this one funny was well.
-very problematic n misogynistic at times. I remember getting mad over stuff.
-I really wanna go to Echo Lodge.
-what's with the whole the princess being rescued by her prince thing
3.5 maybe?
took me so long :'
I liked a lot of the lines and stories in there but wasn't intrigued enough really.
liked “the stranger” much more than this one. but this was ok I think.
second read/ Jan 3 2024
great as always.
but maybe a 4.5 now.
didn't like the romance? part honestly
first read/ Jun 30 2021
relatable, enjoyable, and sad. I'm speechless.
I guess it's a better read for you if you're still in school, especially if you're doing something you don't like because of your parents or society or anything like that. (or if you remember something like that happened for you/someone around you)
I liked this!the drama, the mysteryat some point (after that site which Simon used to write in was exposed) I thought this might be the case.I've read “Give a Boy a Gun” before and I liked it, this was in a different way, and you know, from different perspectives. but I still feel bad about Simon.I liked how TJ and Addy didn't end up together; I wanted them to, but this was realistic and I'm proud of Addy in general. I liked the character development. :)I hated Jake from the start; or I guess it's better to say: from the “wear something more cute” scene.I liked reading about Cooper and his relationship with his dad.“Pop loves cooperstown. He loves when I strike out the side and get attention from flashy scouts, and when my name scrolls across the bottom of ESPN. But me? He doesn't even know me.”Bronwyn's fair of disappointing her parents. Cooper's fair of how his dad will react and how his younger brother will feel after he comes out.Nate :) how he was abandoned and how he was taking care of himself. his life with all the drug-dealing and hook-ups with girls. how he lied about his mother being dead. how he felt she's gonna leave again.Jake was one of the scariest characters I guess. and that so-called-friend of Addy! writing things on her locker and making her fall and hurt herself. how Jake (probably) threw condoms on Cooper.I don't really know how I feel about Bronwyn and Nate's romance. I just know I kinda liked it and I wasn't the happiest when Nate went to juvenile and also when he decided to end things between them. but I still don't know how compatible those two were. I hope they'll be happy. :]oh and I loved the short hair, the bike, the new attitude of Addy!of course I liked Maeve and Ashton. and Addy's mother made me feel bad. about her life and her thoughts and all the women thinking like her. and how they make their daughters feel bad about themselves.people! the attention towards Cooper and Nate after the news from girls and how they were fan girling for these two. how they enjoy things like it's a tv show and forget these four are real teenagers.I don't like the fact that it seemed like Cooper didn't cheat on his girlfriend. just because you're gay doesn't mean you can cheat on someone and that's ok. :
4.5 I think.
i really really liked and enjoyed this one :)
-loved the art, altho I agree, (mostly male) characters look very much alike other than their colors.
-like the little side stories here and there.
-yeah the age gap feels weird. I hope at least we get to see persephone grow up (specially mentally) before things develop between these two.
-EROS <3 I mean what he did there with Perse at the start wasn't v nice but he's really cute
-also gimme more of Artemis
think I'm gonna finish the next one in a lil bit
