its a book about cats so 5/5
but seriously, cinderpaw, swiftpaw and cloudkit were all introduced in this book and that made me really happy.
In the same book cinderpaws leg got ruined tho :( (I thought that happened later)
Not much more to say except greystripe is being a lowkey jerk
This book was the most exciting one yet.
Tension was high throughout the entire book, with Tigerclaw messing around and Greystripe's struggles as he loses his love and in the end has to leave the clan.
I couldn't stop reading and this book has made me very excited for the rest of this series!
Another action filled book with tension and interesting characters.
I just know I am gonna miss swiftpaw, but the arc with Brightpaw/Lostface is interesting (and sad and just heart wrenching) and the entire plot is gripping.
Tigerstar is now leader of Shadowclan, but hasnt ever stopped thinking about his revenge and overtake of Thunderclan even killing multiple of his former clanmates to get his plan in motion.
Possibly even making the first gap at the fence where the dogs where being kept in.
Bluestar was killed in this book and though she was a great character I found myself appreciating the fact Fireheart gets to be leader.
Love these cat books
Good book, not too strong.
Loved the POV's again.
Pacing was better than TNP, but a tad slow.
Love the introduction of rock & fallen leaves and the rich history of the lake territories
God I loved this one.
It was faster paced than the others and I liked that.
Don't get me wrong I love the slower pacing to spread everything out more evenly and let the plot really build up, but it took lion, (jay) and holly 4 books to become warriors and that is a long ass time compared to most of our former protags. Squirrelflight doesn't count bc she yeeted on the journey to sundrown place during her apprenticeship.
Anyway, I love Sol. I think he's a great, charismatic and mysterious character and I can't wait to read more about him.
The prophecy also finally seems to building up a little with Sol's talks and hints and the fact Lionpaw cannot hold back his power and Hollyleaf isn't showing anything at all.
I still don't understand why Wind and Riverclan decided to attack Thunderclan tho... was it purely bc they take in outsiders??? What was the reason for stealing prey then and making characters comment how ‘skinny the windclan cats look'.
Anyway,
Very interesting book with nice characters and as usual in po3 a little foreshadowing on what's to come.
You know, in the review I complained about slow pacing but phew this book went quick as hell.
I honestly think they could have put atleast one of these events in another book.
This book had Jaypaw/Jayfeather travel back in time to relive his counterpart's life (most likely he was reincarnated and so is dove's wing but she'll only be born next book or in OOTS)
Then after his mission in the past (I LOVED HALF MOON <3) Thunderclan dealt with the fucking cat plague (green/whitecough) and after that was almost over the forest caught fire for no reason.
And in the fire Squirrelflight had to reveal the secret about the three to demonic crazy asf Ashfur.
BUT FOR WHAT SQUIRRELFLIGHT IT WAS NOT A SMART MOVE.
Anyway I love Squirrelflight and Leafpool and I hate Ashfur. Atleast he confessed he was the one who tried to kill Firestar and the one who will travel to hell and back just to hurt Squirrelflight.
I truly hope the three will not resent Squirrelflight (and eventually Leafpool) for this secret, because it would make me a little :/. Squirrelflight still cared for them as did Brambleclaw. It was their best option I think.
phew anyway carry on
3.5* stars
ok actually i skimmed like 20% of this book, because for the life of me I can NOT focus on battles.
And this book is one big battle. Just contant pages and pages of fighting and swords and blablablabla.
anyway maddie is an icon and so are Gilan and Horace.
Cassandra honestly got herself lowered in the ranks since I started reading Royal Ranger cause she is made to be an overworried mother when she herself was/is quite an adventurer
This book was pretty darn good, but it doesn't beat long shadows.
I loved the ending of the book and how the series got an end whilst at the same not getting an end.
It is obviously being continued in Omen of the Stars and I love that they take a story and place it out over 2 different arcs.
I had a hecking lot of fun reading Po3 and I wish I could read OOTS immediately but sadly I do not own it so it will have to wait
4,5* stars
Fun book with a fun mission! Absolutely loved the fact we got another Will & Maddie mission and the premise of Halt joining in next book is also quite excellent
this book is so good. Both of the stories in this story are so captivating and fun that I quite couldn't put this book down. Can't wait to continue the adventure in Skandia!
“We hebben allemaal onze plaats, al lijkt het maar een klein plaatje in zo'n grote muur”
crying
Turtle Tail is the best cat
- ok so this is the start of the new Clans, meaning I already know how this ends so it makes me really impatient to get it on with
- not a single character except Gray's Wing & Turtle Tail (maybe Jagged Peak) has a good consistent characterization and it drives me crazy
- i just want Wind and Thunder to become leaders, and i'm assuming Tall Shadow will be shadowclan and clouded sky will become skyclan if that already exists in this timeframe, but idk where river is
Ivypool: spying on the dark forest
Also ivypool: NEVER TELLS THE CATS ANYTHING WTF IS THIS
I quite liked this book, though i did not agree with every pacing but its ok since it worked out
