The book is well-written and researched and an easy read, but completely lacks a thesis. Unlike Power Play or even Ross's Republican Riddle (whether you agree or disagree with their conclusions), they at least make an argument. Aoife has failed to do that with this, her first book, and the reader is left with no takeaway.
