A best book. The story is told with many characters over a long period of time surrounding a murder. But not a typical murder mystery, the author basically shows how a crime affects the criminals, victims and the people around them. Gradually the author reveals all the secrets but hides some subtle parts and turns the story into an untouchable, everything can be felt but not understood. But when they too are revealed at the end, after a heart-breaking climax, the whole story becomes a melancholy tale. To be honest, I have never been so emotional reading a thriller book except Higashino's book
I have nothing to say about Hergé's Tintin. Tintin's Adventure comics covered a large part of my childhood. The stories were full of fun and excitement. And Tintin, Snowy, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, Thomson & Thomson characters were my very own. These Tintin comics will always hold a special place in my heart.
My first book reading by world-famous thriller author Dan Brown. And guess what, it's a breathtaking journey. Serial killers, time bombs, puzzle breaking, conspiracies, secret societies, assassins have all the elements of a thriller and the book has moved forward at rocket speed. The reader's hair will stand up in excitement while reading the book. The book is excellent as a thriller.
An excellent thriller. A mind-blowing mystery unfolds in the twist of a simple story. The character development is great, and the world building of the story is fantastic. Overall the first book in the ‘Millennium' series is an unforgettable thriller.
A great psychological thriller. Thomas Harris is able to get on the nerves of the reader the most. The most terrifying, dark side of the human mind is revealed in this book. As well as problems like corruption in the law enforcement agencies, problems like interrupting the powerful in everything have also come up. The characterization of the main characters is the best. The character of the serial killer is given a little less prominence, so that Hannibal Lecter can have the lime light. And that character has cracked it. All in all, this book will always stand as one of the best in thriller literature.
The best detective in the world, London in the Victorian era, seemingly complicated cases that turn into a murder before they can be solved, a group of terrible criminals, explosive excitement, timeless adventure. Well, Sir Arthur has written a detective adventure that has changed the genre of adventure in literature, what else can I criticize. Enjoyable from start to finish.
Another suspenseful yet heartbreaking tale by Higashino. The story basically proceeds as a How-Done-It-Murder-Mystery. While the story doesn't progress in a twisty, breath-taking thriller, the book is engrossing enough thanks to Higashino's densely woven writing, intelligent investigation, and some wonderful characters. But the twist at the end, which the whole story builds up to, is both surprising and emotional. The author then takes the story to another level of emotion, and concludes with a heartbreaking ending. Keigo Higashino became one of my favorite authors.
Man, what can I say about this book! It's a journey. It is a journey where the reader will know how secret killers work, how international intelligence agencies work, how the geopolitics of Europe in the sixties were controlled. That is, they have emerged with great realism and detailing in the context of fiction. And simply, Forsyth's sharp writing will always hold the reader. And the second half of the book is like a roller coaster. All in all, The Day of the Jackal is a master piece thriller.
Well, before it I read Follett's The Key to Rebecca which is also an enjoyable thriller. But this book is even better. In this book based on World War II, Follett captures that period brilliantly. And there's plenty of thrills throughout the book for the cat and mouse chase of British Intelligence with the book's villain Needle. Overall, this is a great thriller, one of the best spy thriller books I've read.
A timeless classic. Not just thrills or twists, but many bitter truths about capitalist society are expressed in a satirical form in this book, which makes people think a lot. A fascination with violence, or an addiction to destruction due to a lack of purpose in existence. Many people in our society have such mentality. ‘Fight Club' is the story of that, the writer is completely successful in satirically highlighting our social and psychological weaknesses. That's why it's a masterpiece
Notes from Underground is a powerful read. It's not just about nihilism or existential despair; it dives deep into the mind of someone who's completely disconnected from society and himself. Dostoevsky explores how people get trapped in their own contradictions and self-loathing, making it a mirror to a lot of the dark sides of human nature. The underground man's bitterness and detachment feel real and relatable in a way that forces you to reflect on your own life. It's a sharp critique of society and self-delusion, and it really gets you thinking about freedom, purpose, and what it all means. That's what makes it stand out—how it shows you life from such an honest, raw perspective. Definitely a masterpiece.
In the book ‘Life of Pi' Yann Martel's beautiful and fluent writing gives a clear picture of the life of a spiritual man. The author has told his story beautifully and added beautiful philosophy to it. And the main attraction of the book is Pi's sea struggle expedition, which is so brilliantly portrayed that the reader will feel that he too is on the sea with Pi. And the ending was both happy and sad at the same time. Overall the book is a master piece.
The most awaited story, the comeback of everyone's favorite detective Holmes, a gothic representation of a village in Victorian England, an exciting detective game, a thrilling adventure. This classic by Sir Doyle is an all-time favorite. The story may have become a little backdated, but its appeal has not diminished.
A great roller coaster paced spy action thriller. Set against the backdrop of China, this conspiracy thriller will provide an unforgettable reading experience. The author will not give the reader a moment's rest, the whole time will keep him on the run. The action scenes are simply the best, the Jason Bourne character is brilliant in this book. Overall this book is amazing.
A timeless masterpiece. What's not to love about classic science fiction like this? The beginning of the story is very strong and surprising. The buildup to the science fiction world is a masterclass. And the way the characterization is done, the reader can feel the broken, depressed psyche of each character, be it an AI. The ending is also very strong and surprising. I want to read the next books in the series, but it is not easy to pass such an epic saga.
