I am absolutely obsessed with this series!
I loved learning more about the complex world, lore and magic system in this book. The world building is wonderful and I love Frankie's writing style.
It was really interesting to get another POV with Morgana and I liked getting to see her perspective .
Also,I just love Lyr and Rhyan so much and this book gives you so many moments between the two of them.
Overall, this was a solid third book in this amazing and highly underrated fantasy romance series.
I highly recommend you start this series if you haven't already.

This series is one of my favourite reads of this year and this novella makes me love this world even more.
It's so wonderful to read from Rhyan's perspective. We definitely need more Rhyan POV's in the future books. Honestly, this was just so wonderful and bittersweet, but sets the scene so well for the slow-burn romance to come.
Although this book is #0.5 in this series, I highly recommend reading it after Guardian of the Drowned Empire as it contains some major spoilers from the first two books.

So, I'm giving this book a four but I really think it deserves more of a 3.5.
It took a very long time for me to get interested with this book and by the time I did the book was almost over.
However, since I did enjoy in the end I'm giving it a higher rating.
I will definitely be checking out the next book, Linger, in this series.

Really enjoyed this book!
I absolutely love fairy tale retellings and this one is probably one of the most unique ones I have read. It is a retelling of Snow White but the main focus is on the “Evil” Queen.
If you love reading books from the “villains” perspective I would highly recommend reading this.

I read the first book earlier this year and absolutely loved it and the second book is just as good if not better!
I absolutely love the world building, character development, forbidden romance and political intrigue.
If you haven't read book one yet you need to as soon as possible!.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I knew I would probably like it as I adore retellings but I didn't think I would love it as much as I did!
If you love: enemies-to-lovers/love/hate relationships, great banter between the two love interests and gender bent fairytale retellings, you will probably enjoy this book.
Such a fun read and I can't wait to read more books by this author.

I really enjoyed this one.
I haven't had time to read the last two months, but I finally decided to pick this book up and I was actually able to make time to finish it.
I read On These Black Sands earlier this year and absolutely loved it. So, needless to say I was so excited to read the second book and it did not disappoint! I loved getting more perspectives in this book, delving more into Cait's story and being introduced to some interesting new characters. So excited for the third book!
If you are looking for a unique series with pirates, fae, sirens etc. I highly recommend you check these books out!
