Skimmed through the book.
There really wasn't much that wanted me to keep on reading. Way too predictable. Not my cup of tea.
I'm trying to find words to describe the book.
It's one of those books that ends and you just smile, and then tears you didn't even know you were holding in starts pouring out.
Well, this was disappointing.
Was so interested in reading this series. Liked the Maze Runner, Scorch Trials was okay and this one,
“I have always been a reader; I have read at every stage of my life, and there has never been a time when reading was not my greatest joy...“A book about love, secrets and ghosts. When the story of Margaret began so similar to us those who find joy in books, you get the feel that you are gonna enjoy the read, and i did. Gothic literature has never been my kind of reads, but I liked this one (surprisingly). As interesting as it was, for me, the ending wasn't up to the mark. Although the puzzle was complete, it still felt like some pieces were missing.
A lot, yes, a lot of people are gonna dislike the book and that's quite understandable. Having to read about President Snow's earlier days of life, isn't gonna be easy.
Do I wanna see him as the protagonist of this novel? Or would I feel bad for him at some point?
I suppose he will always be an antagonist in my opinion and I'm glad I feel the same even as I'm done reading this.
Really thought i would enjoy the read, as it had dragons and a tournament plot.
The book had a good start, but the world building didn't click for me. It was like having a house with a few walls missing.
The characters were all over the place. None of them made an impact, not even MC.
The fight with the antagonist was one of the most dull and boring fight I had ever read.
Had to force myself to finish the book.
This is one heartwarming story. A series of recordings by an 11yr old (13 in responsibility years) who wants to send his iPod to space.
You don't really know what to expect when a book is written in the perspective of a kid.
Loved the innocence of Adam, how he viewed the world, the adventures he came across.
I wished there were more pages, but alas, all good things come to an end.
Damn.
I started the series with hopes high above my head. Red Rising didn't give me the thrills I wanted. Yet, I liked the book.
So when I started Golden Son, I wasn't sure of what to expect.
But after a few chapters, I could't bloody damn leave the book alone.
It gave me thrills and excitement that was far beyond my expectation.
And the ending, damn. What a cliffhanger.
So glad I started the series after all the books are out.
What else is there to say, other than I am fucking in love with the characters and everything.
p.s. Be ready to start the Morning Star as soon as you finish this, or you are gonna have one long hangover.
