This book feels a little beyond me, with only around half of the books discussed I was familiar with. At times the author seems to write over my head and I cannot tell if it's my inexperience or the author's overbearing, winding,  long winded style.

That being said it's an excellent journey through the literature and the 20th century and I'd love to return to it after I've read more of the books mentioned.

The Fall portion of the collection is very weak
