Took too long and I got bored

The writing threw me. I wanted the chapters to be more resolved. They felt kind of “open ended”, like I could imagine a scene to go on longer or perhaps continue in the next chapter. But then the next chapter would start so abruptly in another scene that I felt thrown out of the flow of the book.
