Has its heart in the right place and contains a lot of good content, but is extremely waffly and badly in need of a brutal edit.

Stuck it out to p175 but got so bored by the posh twaddle and pretense that I couldn't go on.

Grim as f*ck

Sadly this is possibly the most boring book I have ever tried to read - gave up after 100 pages.

An impressive feat of research, but the storytelling leaves something to be desired...

Too difficult to follow for a non- data scientist. You can't explain this stuff without a lot of diagrams, videos etc.

Bit dull to be honest! Too much detail on how they ran their experiments, not enough interesting insights or new ways of looking at things, for my liking. I enjoyed ‘Small World' (2003) by Mark Buchanan a lot more.

All about the interconectedness within a system - useful way of looking at how the world around us works.

Suitable whether you're new to Scrum or looking for some case studies (of which there are lots) - just a pity it's not better-written.

An informative read on the history of risk...I liked the history lesson leading up to the mid 20th-century, but thereafter it becomes completely focused on the world of securities, derivatives etc, and the book loses its way slightly.

Depsite the rave reviews, this book has aged quite a bit - although I'm sure it must have been groundbreaking at the time of its original publication.

Great, concise biography of the man that discovered the fundamental mechanics of the universe, from the author of the excellent ‘The Information'.

Strange and brilliant book - a philosophy lesson and father and son roadtrip all-in-one.

Crazy tale of greed, envy, politics, machismo, and more greed - the true story of the financial shark feeding-frenzy that was the LBO of RJR Nabisco in the '80s.

Compact and engrossing autobiography from the company's founder. The McDonalds franchise ‘system' is a thing of business beauty, and this book gives some great and inspiring insights into how he went about achieving it all.

Excellent history of information, from talking drums to quantum physics.

Brilliantly-written, inspiring, full of memorable examples. Can't recommend this enough! (Thanks to Liz Sivell for the recommendation).

Useful in the way it gets you thinking about- and builds understanding of - probability when it comes to the incidence of everything around us and the events that affect us.

All about how people make decisions and generally comprehend the world around them - massively informative and worth the slog.

Eminently readable and wise essays on management and business from the great man.

Interesting history of finance - pretty pertinent stuff...
