I really don't know how to feel about this... I liked that it was somewhat different that the previous Robert Langdon books, but it's still not what I wanted. It was definitely a quick and entertaining as to be expected with a Dan Brown book, I just wish there was something more to it...
I apologize that nothing in the above text even makes sense. D:
can't wait to get back to tori. robin just isn't for me. even zylas couldn't save this book.
not as fun as the first one, but still enjoyable! there were some great one liners that had me cackling. i liked learning more about the world and the new characters introduced. i need to stop myself from marathoning the series because i don't want the fun to end!
this was just bad. however, i like the side characters enough to read any possible stories from them. i just never want to read from the perspective of the two idiot main characters ever again or even hear about them
Ananna's character was very easy to connect with and the story was engaging and fast paced. Some of the back story wasn't fleshed out very well and I feel that holes took from the story, but hopefully things will be explained better in the conclusion!
The middle was a bit slow and I feel like the writing style changed a bit for this book, but that might just be me. Overall, it was a satisfying end to a pretty epic series!
this gave me serious [b:The Lies of Locke Lamora 29588376 The Lies of Locke Lamora (Gentleman Bastard, #1) Scott Lynch https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1458646334s/29588376.jpg 2116675] vibes and made me feel ALL THE THINGS.
The one just lacked something, I don't know what but it really didn't do it for me. I'm conflicted over whether or not I want to finish up the series. BUT THAT CLIFFHANGER. Even though I knew it was coming because I accidentally looked at the blurb for the fourth book, it still hit hard D:
I feel like this last book wasn't really necessary, James could have definitely ended the series at two books. However, this book did provide insight into Christian's past, I just could have done without the incessant smut–it just made the story drag on and on. The writing was the same as the first two books, becoming almost annoying repetitive at times.
I don't know what to think of this trilogy, part of me likes it and the other part of me is wondering why I ever decided to read it...
I don't think I'll be continuing with this when the next one comes out, it just doesn't hold much appeal to me and I feel nothing for the characters.
Restarted this once I watched the movie and just skipped over the pictures this time, making it much more enjoyable for me!
I rather enjoyed the story, but it was extremely slow. I'm pretty sure the story could have succinctly been told in five chapters or less. Or maybe I just didn't appreciate this novel, I really don't know.
The story felt like it moved soooooo slowly. The interjections into the narrative were actually my favorite part of the book. Overall, the plot was really unique and I'll definitely pick up the second book, if there is one!
I made an unbelievably rookie mistake and did not listen to this on audio. Will have to remember to do that before the sequel!!?
