Absolutely loved this. It's not about time travel, it's about what would happen if you had a chance to talk to someone who, for whatever reason, you can't talk to anymore. How a single conversation can change your life.

This book was...fine. I didn't hate anything about it, but I didn't love anything, either. It was an easy read, but the worldbuilding felt nonsensical at times, and Odessa has nothing to do for most of the book.

Almost nothing in this book worked for me. Cassia is bland, the relationship doesn't exist, the plot and world are full of holes. By the end I was just skimming to see how it played out, and even that wasn't interesting.

Finally! A romantasy I actually liked!

The worldbuilding really carries this book. It just feels so lived in, with lots of lore and traditions. The romance was more lust than love, but Bjorn had enough personality that I still enjoyed their interactions.

This was such a strange, absurd little book. And I loved it.

I think if I had read this book as a teenager, it would have been one of those books that stayed with me. It's a simple moment in the life of a girl on the cusp of womanhood, and that simplicity is its strength.

It was fine. The worldbuilding is superb but there's no character arc and the stakes feel lacking.

So glad I finally read this. What a masterpiece!
