From Goddess To Mortal: The True Life Story of Kumari

As someone who didn't know Kumaris existed in the world I was fascinated to learn so when I got to Nepal. I had to read a book about it (several hours on a bus demanded it) and this was the chosen one.
While not fabulously written or edited I do think it's a good book to read and get a sense of how a real person felt in such a situation.
The book shows the other side of the history told in the first person - and that is awesome!

This is a hard book to read. I had tried previously (a couple of years ago) and I couldnt.
This time I decided I would.. And now I feel divided. If you consider the story or writing, it is an awful book (honestly).
On the other hand if you consider the message or accessibility of this book, then you might consider it good - I do think the messages are good, simple, clear and understandable. The format is just not for me..

Ahah, great book ! Although it is not my genre, i loved it.. From the initial suspense of what is happening (if you have no idea what kind of book it is) up until when the characters start to build themselves and the relationships between them start becoming solid :) i did love it, it is entertaining and it gives that kind of feeling of wanting to know what is happening next :) the main character is just great and the ending is quite unexpected (for me, at least) :)

A very good book :) it came into my want to read list while checking the books that are turning into movies in 2016.

It is a good story - fantasy and children like, but very well constructed overall.. The characters afçre rich and it is a very entertaining story :) made me wanna read numbers 2 and 3 of this trilogy :)

1Q84: Book 1

There is something about the story, the characters, the way the book is written and the way the story unfolds that kept me up and wanting for more..
i just cannot explain what it is! The concepts and story themselves are simple but reading them is like being taken into another dimension - one where two moons exist, perhaps.. one where each character is essentially “normal” and could be here on our side but has something about it that makes it not quite real.
It was a really good surprise :)
Already starting the second :)

The Gospel According to Jesus Christ

It was the first book I read by Saramago (and I say first because - I really really loved it).

I had always heard about the polemics this book caused and now I can see why. It goes against many believes without being unbelievable.. :) I really liked it and provided me with a brand new vision about what might have happened (assuming one believes on the story on the first place).

Fresh new looks on history!
