not a fan of fisting, but i did like the writing and the first scene. wish there was more angst and exploration of the moral dilemma but it's a short book so it's good for what it is.
cutee book! really liked the healthy & realistic body rep, the genuinely cute romance bw the mc's. towards the end i feel like the male mc's declarations of love were a lil too superfluous (“u are interwoven into my tapestry” - like boy chill). also didn't really buy him hiring her in the first place either, i'm not a fan of the insta-love trope. similarly w the baby daddy, that plot point didn't make much sense (why would the son of a billionaire steal money from his bestfriend?) and why did our girl like this dude in the first place if he's such an asshole. let's pls make our villains multidimensional characters! or u could just not make him a villain also
would've been a fun premise if the marquess wasn't such an asshole. like he consistently remained an asshole. absolutely 0 redeeming qualities. where was the grovel she deserved?
if we're going to make such unnecessarily mean heros, can we at least make them suffer before the end?
prequel to the main book. i liked it! a little darker & more intense than i expected, but i like the writing style. wish there was more brutal murder times for the loser pack but alas.
solid book. 10/10 writing style which made me root for the characters. laughed out loud at some of the shenanigans way more than i would've expected. heroine was genuinely my favourite thing about this book. and omg, her mother in law, just a complete badass in the best possible way. docked one star because of how frustrating the other chick was & how ‘noble' & ‘dutiful' the male lead pretended to be.
i was bored reading this. didn't care of any of the characters, or the storyline much. i guess the writing style wasn't my favourite, otherwise i would have probably gobbled it up.
really really like this trope. the characters were really well written & the romance was super cute: the chocolate scene omg
beautiful writing style. cute heroine. the hero was a grump and i genuinely couldn't see what the heroine saw in him. his only plus point was his vv adorable family. ngl, i liked his brother & son way more than him. aLSO i have no clue why the author killed off so many of them towards the end
coming back after two rereads in just 2 months. dUDE I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH. everything in this book is perfect. like this is what i want every historical romance to be like.
suCH AMAZING WRITING. the most lovely heroine ever, like i could completely get where she was coming from and she was so smart & witty w the hero, oof. and the duke??? god, if men like this truly exist, i'll wait a lifetime for one. i can write 5000 word essays on how much i love and adore the duke, his cunning intelligence, his honesty w the heroine, his admiration of her.
thank u god & reddit for recommending me this.
a really disappointing end to the series. first book started off so strong, the writing style made me so interested in the witch's life. but i feel like the book didn't do justice to the mc from the first book. like for the past two books & this one, the mc was just this confused “oh what am i to do
fmc was cute! i love it when they pursue the mmc. the mmc was okay, he was not all that memorable. i liked how he stood up to his sister, and how he tried to right his wrongs. i liked freda quite a lot. i also liked how the fmc's sister actually shined without her being there and how it was brought to the fmc's attention (though it felt a lil mean).
so so sweet! i love historical romances because there is so much build up to the actual love story, and proper exploration behind the characters' personalities & motives. i adored the fmc and i can relate so much to her, it was lovely to see friendship being the basis of their love and how she came to trust him. really liked the mmc!! one of my favourites of all time, i liked how charming he was, how he didn't become a grumpy woe is me dude that so many HR hero's tend to become. he was understanding & kind, and i could truly see why she'd fall in love w him. now im gonna read the whole series hehe.
fun idea. horrible execution. to the point where i was like, oh is this satire and i just didn't get the memo?
smut or not, good writing is a bare minimum for me. and this just didn't deliver on that front at all. the characters felt like caricatures. but eh, im sure someone must've liked it.

i really really enjoy the author's writing style. it just suits contemporary romance so much. i liked the heroine & the hero separately, they seemed like well fleshed out characters and i'm surprised there's no sequel to this because the author could've done more w them. there was surprisingly pretty healthy communication & the mcs made sense.
what didn't totally convince me is why & how they fell in ‘love'. like yeah they were hot but what else? still an enjoyable read, couldn't put it down :)
i cried so much. and i laughed so much. i LOVE and adore dean & i wish i could keep in a little pocket and carry him everywhere.
read this during a time where i really needed to smile and feel better, and this book did all that & more.
everything was so so cute. and also realistic. no one was demonised. just a really really feel good book.
love an enemies to lovers but just didn't love this. i'm very proudly a Mean Person™️ but honestly just being around this couple would have made me want to bash my head in. i love a lil snark, some banter, different ideologies on life kinda vibe.
this however wasn't it. the guy was mean to her for no reason and i'm not a fan of that. he was also suddenly so into her for no reason, like yes the sex was great i suppose but what about her do u actually love dude?
and omg, the way he kept shitting on her field, i could never respect a man who spoke to me in that way. then he kept saying no that he did in fact respect her, but his words just didn't indicate that. also if someone kept saying that i ‘screech', they would honestly never be graced w my presence again. what a loser 40 year old.
i didn't completely love the mc, even though i completely understood the whole mean inner persona + people pleaser stuff. totally relatable. but man, you're nearly 40, please get your act together & cut off your narcissistic dad.
i guess i realised that i like messy characters only when they have a reason to be & stay messy. i also just don't like doctors
interesting read! i liked the friendship between the girls & the cute banter-y romance between the cop & the mc. but i found the thriller aspect a lil lacking, since they didn't spend enough time in my opinion discussing the aftermath of the murders. like “oh, one more bestfriend of mine died, so sad, lemme go make my wedding plans to the guy ive known for a week.” bruh
would've been a fun premise if the marquess wasn't such an asshole. like he consistently remained an asshole. absolutely 0 redeeming qualities. where was the grovel she deserved?

what a ridiculous book. made me cry so much, which is how i know a book is bloody good. questioned my whole life, because i could relate so much with kennedy. the writing was incredibly convincing, and i was fully immersed.
I LOVED IT. i cried while reading all the flashbacks. one of the sweetest & most heart wrenching love stories i've ever read.
AAAAAAAA
I LOVE THIS BOOK
literally everything and everyone in it.
hilarious heroine & hero. and both of them were super self-aware & honest about their flaws. and they were just so good together!!!
very very wholesome romance. the mystery i couldn't care less about. but the couple was just one of my all time favs.
nazar na lagein
so so well written! loved the mmc & fmc, really liked how their relationship developed & how the mmc was so gentle & strong. didn't like that fmc kept not communicating w mmc whenever something upset her, but hey we all have our flaws. the smut was exquisite, truly.
reddit promised me a delicious dark romance, and well it really wasn't :(
i usually like this author's work, but this was disappointing. the beginning was well written, the frustration she had w adam and the reasons why she couldn't just walk away, but that was it though.
derek, after hearing her sob story, for some reason, instantly loves her, and worships the ground she walks on. like ok, u like a challenge, but she wasn't even much of a challenge? and then he's not even slightly smart or cunning enough to actually manipulate her & play games (usually my favourite part of dark romances), he's just straight up “yo i wanna be w u 4eva.”
towards the middle, i was just skipping stuff because it was the same old, derek pushes and she's scared, but he thinks that she thinks its hot. like ok we get it, u guys like sleeping w each other. but there's no more substance
cutee book! really liked the healthy & realistic body rep, the genuinely cute romance bw the mc's. towards the end i feel like the male mc's declarations of love were a lil too superfluous (“u are interwoven into my tapestry” - like boy chill). also didn't really buy him hiring her in the first place either, i'm not a fan of the insta-love trope. similarly w the baby daddy, that plot point didn't make much sense (why would the son of a billionaire steal money from his bestfriend?) and why did our girl like this dude in the first place if he's such an asshole. let's pls make our villains multidimensional characters! or u could just not make him a villain also
i love non contemporary romances so so much! loved how the story properly explored the characters & their motivations, we got to see them falling in love and understood why they would in fact fall in love. i liked the fmc so much, especially how she refreshingly did trust the man she loved & didn't shy away from her love. i have realised that men like asa are exactly my type
