The book proposes some very interesting ideas about decision making. The two that stuck with me the most: framing decisions as bets and measuring the quality of a decision separate than the quality of the outcome.
The only downside is that this book might fall into the bucket of books that could be summarized in a long podcast episode or a couple of blog posts.
If you're a product manager (tech), or a stakeholder in the product management process, this is a must read book.
If you're already familiar with the JTBD framework it can seem a bit too high level or introductory. Nonetheless it's still a good read and a good subject.
I'd summarize this book with the following quote:
“if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail”
Blockchain is here to change the world, but not all problems will be solved with the blockchain as the author sometimes implies.
It feels sometimes as if you were reading the chapter about humans in Douglas Adams fictional “hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy” - I say this as a compliment.
good book to get started, but if you're already familiar or follow the subject it might be a bit redundant or at least not ground breaking
The Nexus trilogy is some of the best sci-fi that has come out and I've read in recent years.
In some ways, this book feels more a lot more like a compilation of good ideas & productivity principles than a novel new way of doing things.
