This short story had me hooked from the first sentence. It's got everything you could want in a book of any length yet this one is only 30 pages long.
I was genuinely speechless after reading it, I implore you to read it, listen to it, read it while listening to it! It's on kindle unlimited, it comes with the audiobook.
I was lucky enough to be chosen as an ARC reader for “Dream by the Shadows” by Logan Karlie!I thoroughly enjoyed this read! I finished it in about two days.. I definitely could've finished it in a day if I didn't start it so late in the day. What made it easy to finish it quite quickly was Logans writing style, the lovability of the characters, the world building and of course, the storyline itself. I was pleasantly surprised with the storyline, it has some elements of the trends authors tend to follow in the formula of their books but Logan added plenty of her own originality. Also it was just unintentionally funny, you could hear me cackling at 3am.I only had one issue, and that is, with my ADHD ass, when I was reading it, for me it felt a bit slow in certain parts but once I finished it I understood why and appreciated it. It may seem slow in the moment but it makes sense afterward. Can we please get a round of applause for this book cover! It is so beautiful, I know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but when it's so pretty AND it's written well, oh my goodness it satisfies something in me.It wasn't as spicy as some of the books I've read but there's definitely some flirting and tension. This is a fades to black kinda romance which is understandable because it is YA and it kinda works perfectly. I would also love to give one more shout out to Logan and applaud her for the fact that even though it is YA, I didn't have to get into a headspace of a younger version of me to be able to enjoy it as I have in the past with other YA books, I was able to enjoy it as my adult self. She perfectly caters for everyone. Super excited for the next book! This is a must read!A special thanks to Logan for the opportunity and can't wait to see what else is in store for her!4.5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
When I first picked up this book, I wasn't sure what to expect. Let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised and fell in love with it. The storyline, great. The characters, relatable and enticing, I especially have my eye on Commander Rip.Thankfully I bought the second book of the series “Glint” so I can continue reading. I definitely recommend this book to be added to your TBR.4.5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have given strict instruction to all my friends and family to read this book. To put it plainly, this book is remarkable. The structure and literary style of this book was quintessential for this story. I finished the whole book within a day, it was exceedingly difficult to put down. The character development of Constanta was exactly what I wanted and S.T Gibson delivered exceptionally. I loved the dynamics of each character and the roles they all portrayed throughout the novel. Touches of spice here and there added “the cherry on top” perfectly. This book was phenomenal, it surely will be a cult favourite in a decade or so.I look forward to reading more by this amazing author.5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows contained 272 pages which made it the perfect size and a quick read. It was equally scandalous, exciting and climactic. I love a strong female lead and the main character Adara was nothing short of that. This book fits right in with current story trends sharing some similarities as other novels but author Holly Renee added their own unique twists that I adored which set this story apart from others. They just released the third book of this series which is on my tbr for this month! Definitely check this author out. 4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
From the very first page to the very last page I really enjoyed this book. The dynamic between both Torin and Ava was one of my favourite things about it. Ava's character development was perfect, I can see exactly what C.N Crawford was doing. I am completely ready for the plot to thicken even more in “Ambrosia”, the second book of the series. It has already been added to this months TBR list.As amazing as the book is, I ran into a bit of an issue with it as well. Unfortunately to me the book as a whole felt quite dissonant due to the multitude of pop culture references whilst maintaining a heavy fantasy theme throughout. Please don't let that discourage you from adding this fun book to your TBR list and giving it a read. You won't be disappointed.4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
