Really wanted to enjoy this book but guessed the majority of the twists. That teamed with the over use of the words balked and scrabble really irked me. Refused to DNF so persevered but really wouldn't recommend this book

I felt it was really slow until half way through where it started to pick up pace. Considered not finishing it a few times but persevered. Lots of twists in the second half made up for it though and just when I thought id figured it out there was another twist. 

When I rated this to my friend I feel I was a bit too generous, especially after reading the reviews. 

Did I enjoy it? Mostly. Felt the pace was good, liked the jump in timelines and characters however I did feel the author waffled on in great detail about things that weren't necessarily needed to be that highly detailed. Almost like when you try to reach the word count on an essay. Twist was a surprise for me however I do prefer darker twists which is maybe why it was a surprise. It did keep me guessing for the most part.
