This was good and I did enjoy it, but I am starting to feel like some of Henry's characters are getting recycled from past characters.
I really, really enjoyed this and certainly recommend it.
I'll be looking into David Grann more in the future for sure.
Not for me, but that's okay!
As an aside, I'm convinced the author is an only child because of the way Matthew and Tessa referred to each other as “bro” and “sis”.
I really enjoyed this book even though I do feel that it is an oversimplification of some parts of history and tragically leaves out some rather important people in favor of mentioning those that we hear about the most (I was crossing my fingers we'd hear about Lady Mary Wortley Montagu during the discussion of Edward Jenner). Kennedy's argument is an interesting one so I did enjoy hearing about his perspective.
This was really quite excellent. I listened to the audiobook which had a great cast that helped to differentiate all four characters. Typically when there are multiple characters present, I tend to have a favorite and least favorite which can make a book drag. This was not the case for this book, which left me pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend.
This was BRILLIANT. Oh my gosh, this made me feel so warm and fuzzy inside. Who knew I'd be a cozy fantasy girlie???
I am obsessed with this book and might even pre-order the sequel just to get my hands on it ASAP.
This is definitely the best fantasy book I've read this year and is probably one of the three best books I've read this year.
It's so fascinating that I've only recently discovered this genre of ~cozy fantasy~ but I absolutely LOVE it.
I have really mixed feelings about this book. I liked the contents of it, but the writing style really didn't gel with me and I wish it did. A bit disappointed overall.
Very disappointed in this since I absolutely adored Cochrun's other work. But this romantic comedy often left me just feeling sad, and that's just not what I'm looking for in a holiday-themed romance.
Easily the best one yet.
I enjoyed this book so thoroughly and finally found that some of the main characters were relatable. It was magical and riveting and had me at the edge of my seat throughout the entire novel.
Finally saw a bit of why people love these books so much!
Sad because I love this book series as a whole, but Gretchen was such a difficult protagonist to root for. Can't believe Colton apologized for so much that really wasn't his fault when Gretchen barely grew as a character, and I couldn't get behind the romance as a result of that.
Overall, I enjoyed this and I'm pretty pumped to discuss it at my upcoming book club.
This book ended up surprising me! I felt the beginning was pretty slow, but the final third made up for a lot of it. I'm excited for the sequel.
Devastated because my entire review just deleted itself.
In summary. Solid book for the most part. Beautiful writing. Terrible ending, still beyond pissed about it and I finished it a day ago.
I am convinced that this book is Miss Emily's best so far.
I absolutely adored the relationship in this book and how brilliantly the supporting characters added to it. The plotline was excellent and the character development was awesome. I also loved the parallels between the book's plot and Nadine Winters' progression in this book-within-a-book scenario.
It's a must-read for rom-com lovers!
This was a little cheesy and gave me massive “this feels like a fanfiction” vibes, but I'm not mad. It was entertaining, cute, and fun, which was exactly what I was expecting from it.
This book objectively is not very well-written, but it is very entertaining so it gets many redemption stars for that.
It's funny and I did love the main character and love interest. Just don't read it expecting it to be the best book you've read all year.
This is my public apology to my girl Alex since I totally lied about planning to finish this 2 weeks ago.
I don't feel that bad though because I've since stalked your Goodreads and you have it listed as “Currently Reading”.
Anywho. Delightful read, but I did prefer the first book.
