this was so fucking boring and pointless and i really dont understand how is this a horror book. i was really tempted to giv this a one star but i liked the characters and the first 2 chapters and dats it. i hope the upcoming movie will be good but i doubt dat bc of the director

this was insane???? read in one day, i think Jennifer Hillier might be my fav thriller author. this wasnt as good as little secrets, mostly bc it was a bit too ridiculous for me but i still loved the ride.
this case would not leave my head for like a week and dats why i decided to read the book. the first half of the book i read very fast and found interesting, the second half was bit boring and slow but i did learn more abt the case at the end of the day. im not gonna rate the book coz it feels weird to put a rating on a case like that, but i would recommend the book for ppl who want to know more abt this.

this was a good read but took me a week so I lost the momentum + not sure abt the rep. the story itself was interesting and I loved the winter cabin in the woods setting. as for the scary factor it had maybe 2 scenes that made me feel something but overall it wasn't anything crazy

this was a solid ya mystery thriller, not as good as gggtm but not bad either. i really loved the audiobook, it made the experience better. one thing that really annoyed me is all the race/prison/feminism commentary being so heavy handed as if the author copy pasted a fragment from wikipedia and put it randomly into a dialogue between two teenagers. but other than that it was fine + bonus points for lesbians :)
usually i hate open endings, but i liked it here. made it more real and sad in a way

i did predict what the story is about like 2 chapters in but i really enjoyed the way its written and just the story itself. last chapter kinda took some points coz it was too long and just said what i already knew.
shari lapena books are so perfect for a slump. they are always entertaining and a little dumb but I eat them up

the first half was great but the second one was such a slug and i just skim read most of it. i hate Logans pov bc of how boring it is and the whole fbi investigation. they just repeat the same shit in every book. not a fan of this one and scared it will only get worse

i thought im going to hate this but turns out i had fun and couldnt put it down. its not a good book by any means and the 3 stars dont compete with my other 3 star reads but i dont really care. also the rating would prob be lower if i cared for the writting but i dont and english isnt my first language so i dont really notice those stuff. ALSO Logan is a terrible fbi agent, im sorry but how did he not connect the dots whenever Lana was telling him stuff abt herself and all the killing jokes she made ????? dat was the biggest thing that bothered me in this book and i really had to ignore it to not ruin the fun lol

this was so fucking good!!! read it in one day with no audiobook it was so gripping. love the characters, love the writing and LOVE the commentary and themes of this book. there were some small inconsistencies but I forgot about them by the end of the book so it wasn't that bad

sadly this was not an amazing 5 star read for me as i hoped it would be. i love all the characters ( jesper and wylan my beloved ) but i could not care less abt the heist and all that sorry. it wasn't what i expected at all but i will continue with the series just for the characters alone
oh god it was so cute and touched on so many important subjects, but i would love it to be a bit longer :( really wish i had graphic novels like that when i was younger

first book I finished after a slump and it wasn't great. it's YA so was easy to read but god nothing happens in this book. the characters are all bland and if it wasn't for the names in the title I wouldn't know who's pov I'm reading. I do appreciate the rep but it wasn't enough for me to enjoy it. I usually love books about grief but this one was a miss. also I thought there would be some plot twist reveal at the end connecting all those deaths bc the story felt like it was going somewhere but it didn't ?

this was fine, loved it at the beginning but the cat and mouse part dragged for me. it was fine at first but then idk i just stoped caring and i felt like there was no pay off or satisfaction at the end. almost no plot twist and the ones dat happend i didnt really care for. it wasnt anything bad, pretty quick to read but just fine.
