This book was a very big disappointment. The general themes of other negative reviews should be read and taken into account before you read this book.
A wonderful work of non-fiction. Frequently makes trade-offs in favor of being informative over being compelling, which may put off lighter readers. For those with a genuine interest in Maine's incredible history, the book is heartier and more filling than a five-course lobster dinner.
Made me rethink what it means to live. I laughed and also cried. What an amazing book. Difficult to put down and a beautiful writing style.
Give this book a read! It is not expensive and you can get a hard copy on Amazon!
A classic from Dame Agatha, but not her greatest work in my opinion. More haunting, darker, and more eerie than her other books. The ending feels rushed and is too sudden of a reveal.
3.75 stars. Extremely fun concept, explored in a beautiful way. Writing is readable and makes complex events easier to follow. Unfortunately, the writing feels a little rushed, and as a result, just not readable. Loved the ending and would recommend to others
